A year full of growth!

Our little boy turned 1 this past week. Here's a look at just a few of the pictures of him throughout the year- how much he's changed and grown- our lives are so much more full because of him!
Happy 1st Birthday, Elijah Ray! We love you!

Happy Birthday, Eli!

Eli received his very first haircut on his 1st birthday! He did so well...we bribed him with marshmallows and he sat fairly still for Grandma!
What a lucky boy- he had 2 birthday parties- one at Mimi & Papa's and one at home in Weskan! Aunt Jessie made the cakes!

Yummy- this cake tastes good!
Eli's 2nd, 1st birthday, party!

A Month Full of Happenings!!

Whew- I can't believe it's been a month since I've last updated- I've had the best of intentions, but time kept getting away from me! Today, the kids are both napping so I'm taking the chance while I can! Hope you enjoy the happenings of September!
Mommy & Eli- all smiles!
Trinity & Eli were full of giggles when Trinity was pushing him around the house in the truck.

I turned 30, yes 30, this month. One of the absolute highlights of my birthday came from my nieces, Brylee & Blakely. They invited me over for a surprise...when I got there they had a time of pampering for me- a manicure and pedicure and a back massage!! I'm ready to make another appointment with them! We had so much fun talking and giggling! What a blessing they are in my life!

Bry and Blakely dressed Trinity up and were teaching her and Brennan how to dance!

The kids and I went to Mom and Dad's last weekend. We wanted a quick pic with the grandkids- not everyone was thrilled to take the picture- notice my daughter in the lower left corner!

Our sweet angels...

When Trinity takes a nap, we usually play for a little bit, read a book or two, and then she lays down by herself. Today when I left her room I went downstairs to scrapbook a little- through the monitor I could still hear her playing in her room- "no big deal" I thought, "she'll settle down soon"...and I was right, before long I could hear her even breathing letting me know she had drifted off to sleep. When she woke up she came into the kitchen and I was greeted by a painted up face..."What have you been coloring on?" "My butterfly wings." "What else?" "I colored on my chin!" comes the giggling reply...ahhh, the joys of a two-year old! She keeps life interesting! Trinity & I of course talked about how you only color on paper (all the while I'm giggling inside myself!)...she knew what she had done wasn't right- she didn't want me to take her picture, but I finally coaxed her to...she does bring smiles to our faces!

While his big sister was coloring on butterfly wings and her face, Eli was sleeping sweetly and then was ready for a snack of graham crackers...hopefully his sister won't teach him her tricks!!

All dressed up and ready for church!

Elijah Ray- 11 months old- yes, I know, hard for me to believe, too, but it's true- our handsome boy will soon be a year old! His sweet face, big, blue eyes, adorable smile- it just makes me want to hug and kiss him all of the time! How God has blessed our lives!

A Very Special Day...

A couple of weeks ago we had the honor of seeing two of our nieces make a committment to Christ and be baptized- it was such a special day for our family!!
Praying over Brylee Grace after her baptism...
Whew, that was cold- but worth it!

Are you ready, Blakely?

Family Happenings

It's been a busy summer around Weskan- lots of happenings within the family...here are a few of the highlights...hope they make you smile!
Our beautiful nieces both lost teeth and are showing off their teeth-missing grins!
Shelly & Tracy celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in early August- 25 beautiful years together- everyone who knows them can tell right away there is something special about their marriage- we all learn so much by just watching how they love each other and their family! They're surrounded by their kids- Beau & Kari (the newlyweds!), Danica, & Gabe.

Summer isn't summer without a little porch sittin' on a warm summer evening. Eli enjoyed crawling all around Grandpa's feet!

Trinity was so excited to dance the night away...thankfully, her cousin Danica obliged her wish!

That sure is a pretty flower, Grandma...I wonder what it tastes like...
