Standing Tall

Eli thinks he is a much bigger boy than he really is...or a bigger boy than his mommy is ready for him to be! He's crawling everywhere- both on his hands and knees and army crawling- we'll leave the room for a minute and when we come back, he's in a totally different area of the room! he's also pulling up on things and getting himself stuck in places! And he does it all with that beautiful smile!

Playmates

Something I pray about for the kids is that they will have a good relationship with each other all the days of their lives...that they won't just love each other because they're family, but that they'll like each other and enjoy spending time with each other. Here are a few snapshots of them playing together...now, don't be misled- they do not always play well together; whatever Trinity leaves on the floor, Eli is army-crawling as fast as he can towards it before Trinity snatches it up again...but, they have their moments of friendship and sharing!!

"Mmmm, those look good." "Well, books are better when there's a snack to go with them."

Grandma & Me...

Grandma stopped by to play one evening and Trinity convinced her to swing...they had such a good time swinging! If Trinity had had her way, they would have stayed on the swing all evening long! How she adores Grandma Margaret!

If you build it, they will come...

Since the day Aaron found out we were having Trinity, he had dreams of building a playhouse and he started saving money here and there. A couple of weeks ago, he started building that dream...a playhouse fit for a princess and prince (and any future siblings). It's not finished yet, but it's getting closer! We've had many people stop by and ask if Aaron's building a 'man-cave' or a doghouse...nope, a big, beautiful playhouse! A few parents have expressed their frustration with him...their kids want one now! We told them to just come on over and play! We'll keep adding pictures as more and more gets finished on it.

Thank, Mimi & Papa!!

Thanks, Mimi & Papa for coming out to play with us! We had such a great time with you! We love you!

Trinity's Adventures...

Here is Miss Trinity and snapshots of her life as a 2- year old!
She put her milk cup in her boot to drink from. Some may call it odd, I call it creative!
No one brushes hair like Papa...and she wouldn't let anyone else brush her hair! They have quite the bond between them!
Reading a book before bedtime...clapping like seals!
Trinity convinced cousin Beau to go play in the sand pile with her...it didn't take much twisting of his arm, just a sweet little, "come on" and a tug on his finger.

Out and About with Elijah Ray

Here are pics of just Eli doing what he loves to do at 7 months...swing, smile, and take baths!
Daddy & Eli sharing a secret...hmm, what do boys tell each other?!
After bath with Mimi

On Top of the World...

When you're on the top of a mountain, it feels like you're on top of the world, right? Mom and Dad came out for a visit a couple of weeks ago and we took them to Mt. - the highest point in Kansas. Okay, so technically it's not a true mountain...but it sure was cold and windy up there that day!

Easter 2009

Who would have thought such a sweet face could cause so much commotion? Our Easter trip to Mom and Dad's- one for the books. We drove to Danville Thursday evening and Eli spit up A LOT on the way there, which is very unusual for him. I thought it was the car ride- Aaron thought he was sick...Aaron was right. Eli got sick a few more times that night and Friday just wasn't himself. He was better by Saturday and we didn't think anything else of it until...Aaron got sick Saturday evening, Mom & Trinity got sick on the way home from Sunday church, Justin & Amber got sick Sunday night, Dad got sick Monday when he got to work, and all of Jessica's kids (all 4 of them!) got sick that week, too! So, this sweet, big-blue eyed, loving boy, started the sickness mayhem that spread like wildfire Easter weekend!
Right after church (where Abbey made her First Communion & my brother-in-law, Jeremey, joined the Church) before Trinity got sick.

Aaahhh, Uncle Justy & Trinity...I just love this picture!! Looking at it you'd think they were both angels all of the time...or maybe you can tell they're hiding their mischievious sides!

The Outsiders...

At Mimi & Papa's, we had lots of outside time! Not to be outdone by her little brother and his red hat, Trinity convinced Papa (like that was hard!) to find her a hat, too!
Eli sportin' his red hat with Daddy.

Trinity was helping Mimi plant her garden...I think Trinity may be helping in the wrong area with her 'plumber's crack' showing! Her little bottom just doesn't keep her pants up!

Oh, how she loved helping Mimi plant her garden! Trinity loves to be outside (what kid doesn't?!) and to play in the dirt!

Fun at Mimi & Papa's

We went to Mom and Dad's for Easter. Mimi & Papa bought a new wagon and Eli & Trinity were anxious to try it out...okay, so I may have been more anxious than them...it's such a cute wagon!
"We're ready, Papa!" Trinity didn't remain in the wagon the whole time, oh, no, not our 2 year old. She wanted to be out walking with all of us!

We had to keep Eli's head warm and this red hat fit just perfect on him! Doesn't he look so cute?!

Again it is passed on...

For those of you who've known me a while, you'll recognize this car...the 1995 dark blue Saturn. Mom and Dad bought it for Jessica while she was in college, then when she got married, it was passed on to me, and so we continued the tradition and have passed it on to our nephew, Russell.
Enjoy the ol' girl, Russell, she'll be good to you, if you're good to her!

"Okay, she has a high-tech security system...when you shut it off and turn the wheel just so, it locks it up. To 'unlock' this security system, you have to turn the wheel just like this."

"Oh, and unless you don't want the window to come up again, don't roll it down."

YA-YA Weekend!!

My 3 very best friends from college and I try to all get together at least once a year...it's our Ya-Ya Weekend. Our last one was the beginning of April at Leah and Tyler's home in Hudson. Here's 'my girls, my prayer warriors- the Moro Girls' (l to r): Sarah, Belinda, Leah, & me. We did nothing but talk and relax and eat...such a wonderful weekend!
Leah has a little boy, Braxton, who is about 17 months. We really wanted to get pics of the 3 kids...these were the closest we could get! They're all full of energy and so mobile...they don't think it's fun to sit and take a picture- even for 10 seconds!

Trinity & Braxton took a bath together...they both enjoy bathtime! This is one of those pics that we'll show at each of their weddings and they'll look at Leah & I with a look that says, "Mom!! Are you serious?"

Being kids...

Trinity has been in her "big girl bed" since last July, but she still loves the crib. She was playing in Eli's room and soon I couldn't hear her (as mothers, we all know that when the noise stops, usually something is up!). When I went in to check on her, this is what I found...ALL of the stuffed animals, pillows, and dolls from both her and Eli's room in the crib! Thankfully, Eli wasn't in there with her! She has gotten into the habit of crawling into the crib with him when he wakes up, or when he's fussing. He loves it when she does!
Our Eli at 6 months old...those bright, big, blue eyes just light up when he smiles! He's started to 'flirt' with people, but it usually has to be from Mommy's arms. Daddy took him to his 6 month check up in March and he weighed 17 lbs., 6 oz!! He's a healthy baby!

Playtime at Mimi & Papa's

Eli is at that stage where you can get him to giggle easily...Papa quickly found one of Eli's many tickle spots!
Zachary & Eli attacking Aunt Jessie...all fell into fits of laughter!

Finally...Trinity, Zachary, & Audrey found an activity they could all play and not argue at all...playing tractors in the dirt! What kid doesn't love to play in the dirt?!
I love this picture of Emalie (my sister's youngest daughter). She was looking for Mommy and jabbering to herself.

And, Miss Natalie Rose...just like her mommy, my sister...they're both posers- both have a flare for the dramatic...maybe even have some diva in them! It's part of what makes Natalie & Jessica so special!
