Trinity's Playtime

Aaron teaching Trinity how to bowl using the Wii- they scored!
Off she goes- Trinity riding her big girl princess bike! She absolutely loves it!

Sleepover

Over spring break we had a sleepover and movie night with Brylee, Blakely, and Brennan. We played and played and in the evening the 4 older ones watched a movie and relaxed...Eli found another way to entertain himself!

More time outside

One of the high-lights of the weekend- the baby chicks Mimi and Papa had. The kids so badly wanted to pick them up...thank goodness there was chicken wire around the chicks or they might have been loved on a little too much by all of the little loving hands!

Hand in hand...

"One day we'll be big enough to get in there and help."
The 'bigger' grandkids were in looking at the remains of Mimi's garden...Emalie and Eli were content to stand on the outside and just watch...one day...

A visit to Mimi and Papa's...

A couple of weekends ago we headed to Mimi and Papa's for a visit. My sister usually always comes out for as much time as she can so that we can catch up and the kids can play- for which I feel truly blessed!! Here are some pics to capture the moments of play!
Miss Emalie- what a cutie! I think we were getting ready to play hide and go seek!

Ahh- I should have the next 2 pictures reversed...my sister's son, Zachary, was teaching Eli how to perfect one of a boy's favorite pastimes- throwing dirt! The first picture is of Eli having a ball following what Zach does! The next one is of Zach taking his turn throwing dirt! Ahh, boys- dirt and smiles!

What are big cousins for? Zach and Trinity were thrilled to help swing their younger cousins- Eli and Emalie! These four usually play so well together- especially outside!

Yummy...

Sticky-icky goodness!! Trinity and Eli got some big suckers from Aunt Christina and Uncle Shayne...they were thoroughly enjoyed!

For the love of children...

Eli had to be re-circumsized yesterday morning...Aaron, Eli, and I headed to Denver Sunday afternoon and Trinity stayed the night with Aunt Shelly and Uncle Tracy. We went to the new Children's Hospital in Aurora- which is an amazing, kid-centered place! Eli went in to surgery around 9:40 and he woke up about an hour later in recovery...he whimpered a few times until Aaron and I could hold him and then he snuggled up tight in my arms with his stuffed doggy and doggy lovey- he made a very cute picture! He was pretty skeptical all day of any staff who came near him- and he did not like the anastesia mask...but he was a trooper...took a short nap late in the morning and then was wired the rest of the day talking and jabbering and giggling! When he potties in his diaper he gets a pained expression, whimpers a little, and wants to be held....then he's off again! We know we had many family and friends praying for us and I could feel their prayers- I was calm and only teared up and couple of times (days before I would start crying just thinking about Eli going into surgery!)...but I was filled with peace...and Eli couldn't have done better...the nurses wanted to keep him there! And all was because of prayers! Thank you, Lord for your love and compassion!
The Children's Hospital was wonderful...it was a routine surgery, but they treated us and Eli as if was a major surgery- everyone was extremely kind, answering any and all questions- most before we even had to ask...it was evident that everyone from the check-in workers, nurses, and every doctor was there for one reason...for the love of children.
Side note on Trinity...when we got back to Shelly's to pick her up she saw us, covered her mouth in excitement/surprise and then started crying and hiding behind her Aunt Shelly's legs because she didn't want to leave! She finally did come with us...after we told her we bought her a surprise and it was at home...when she opened it she immediately called Uncle Tracy to tell him what it was! (new dress pj's!) He then indulged her and came to see them- what a highlight for our big girl!

Ahhh...Spring Break!

Spring break has arrived...and the weather for most of the week is going to be in the 60's- perfect for lots of playtime outside! We spent the morning walking to the post office, to Daddy's and Grandma's office, home again and then played outside swinging, chalking, chasing rabbits, seeing sheep, Trinity riding her bike, and Eli swinging some more! It's now rest time- for all of us! :) This week is a much needed rest before the final stretch of school- we all know how quickly that flies by! Hope you are all enjoying some time outside!
