Long time, no blogging...

I know, it's been almost 2 months since I've added anything to our blog...our computer went on the fritz and died! Electronics can be a blessing and a curse!
So much has happened since then...Eli turned 5 months old! He is rolling everywhere, bounces any chance he gets; he's a mover and a shaker! He's all smiles and fills my heart with even more joy each time he smiles! God has blessed us with happy kids. Eli will wake up fussing in the middle of the night to eat, but as soon as I go in to get him, he stops fussing, flashes me his beautiful grin and starts talking to me! I love it!
Miss Trinity wore panties ALL DAY yesterday and didn't have an accident!! It was her first time to wear them all day- I am so proud of her!! She can be a little spit-fire at times- stubborn (she gets it from her daddy!), and yet so full of laughter and joy! She can be like a parrot at times...Aaron and I were talking and she was playing. He was telling a story and said, "blah, blah, blah." Then we hear her say it. I laughed and said, "Yada, yada, yada," and out comes those words from her mouth!
Aaron was in Las Vegas for several days for work last week and then headed to a wedding of a college/ FarmHouse friend.
I"m busy with the usual- home, school, kids...you know, LIFE!
Oh, exciting news...one of my best friends got engaged...Lauren Fallis!! She's engaged to a guy named Brandon from Texas who fills her heart with love and joy! Congrats, Lauren!
As soon as I can, I'll get pics uploaded to the blog. When I do, I'll add a ton!

Updates...

I had two whole weeks off from school for Christmas vacation...they were wonderful!! I was over-joyed at being able to be at home with the kids! Teaching is a great profession for a mom...long breaks, and out of school when your kids are! A bonus for me- we go to school 4 days a week and Weskan has an amazing school with outstanding teachers! I very much enjoy where I work! Anyway, I went back to work on the 5th...about 18 more weeks to go until summer! (I know, you're thinking, "Whoa, she's counting down alreayd? But, hey, as much as I enjoy my job, I love being home with my kids, too!!)
And, our family received some very exciting news this week...Aaron's brother, Shayne, and his wife, Christina, found out that they're expecting TWINS!! She's due in May, but thinks the babies will be here in April...just three short months away!! What a wonderful blessing!! Their family has been in our prayers as this big change is about to occur in their lives!!
Now, it's off to bathe Eli and put him to bed!!
God Bless!

More Christmas Pictures

This is my first cousin's daughter, Gracie...her daddy has taught her how to dance to commercial lyrics...he would sing them and she would dance away!! Very cute!!

This was priceless....we have a dirty Santa gift exchange on my side of the family. There is a green and orange juicer that has been going around for a few years in the exchange...whenever anyone upwraps it they groan and everyone else laughs and breaths a sigh of relief that it wasn't them! Well, Aaron and I thought we needed to add another gag gift to the mix...this ceramic owl. Our 15 year old newphew, Russell, unwrapped it...it was hilarious!! He had tears in his eyes- we weren't sure if they were because he was laughing so hard, or because he got stuck with an owl! Don't worry though, after it was all over, we gave him a 'real' gift!

Our 17 year old niece, Danica Rae, is the favorite cousin to all of her younger cousins. Here she is helping our newphew Brennan with his toys.

The Aldridge grandkids...10 beautiful gifts from God!

Merry Christmas, Trinity!

Trinity was excited to open gifts Christmas morning at our home and she was pretty enthusiastic about them at Grandma and Grandpa's (Aaron's parents), but by the time we got to Mimi and Papa's (Julie's parents), she didn't care much about opening gifts...all she wanted to do was play with Papa!!
Trinity loves baby dolls. Here she is singing "Rock-a-bye-baby" to one of her dolls...it was very precious!

Eli's 1st Christmas

These first two pictures show what Eli did most of the Christmas time...sleep!! He's a growing boy...eats and sleeps a lot!!
Out niece Karson Kay enjoyed holding Eli and both her and Eli were quite content relaxing on the couch!

One of Eli's gifts...I think it was his Daddy's favorite gift for him...Aaron can't wait until Eli is big enough to play with all of his 'boy' toys!

Eli- 3 Months

I was taking pictures of Eli at 3 months...Trinity loves to have her picture taken also, so she wanted to hold him and be in the picture, too. So, Mr. Eli is 3 months old now!! He smiles tons, is cooing and talking more and more- tells us lots of good stories- and he's even started laughing! Aaron loves to do whatever he can just to hear Eli laugh...it's fun to watch!
My mom bought this outfit for Trinity the year she was born. I was so exicted that Eli would get to wear it also. I had big plans for him to take lots of pictures in it and have him wear it all day...Eli had other plans...he pooped and filled his britches to overflowing within 15 minutes of getting dressed! I couldn't change him without a picture of him in the outfit, so I quickly took a few pictures and then changed him!

Randomness around the house

Having some snuggle time with Daddy!
Trinity loves to sit on the counter and 'help' with whatever I'm doing. Here we're making banana nut muffins...she stirred and mashed and of course helped lick the bowl!

Sweet Elijah...he's all smiles after Daddy picked him up from the babysitter's and was home- he was ready for playtime with Daddy and his big sister!
