Memorial Weekend we took a quick trip out to Denver to take the kids to the zoo, go swimming at the hotel, and as luck would have it, one of my best friends, Belinda, was in Denver, too, so we were able to meet her for dinner! Isn't God wonderful?! It was chilly and overcast- and started raining after 2 hours there, but we all still enjoyed the trip! It was great to spend time with just us! Here Trinity is checking out some of the monkeys- those and the lions were her favorite!

Trinity loved all of the different monkeys...and they seemed to love her! Some of the smaller ones came up to the glass and started banging on it and 'smiling' at her (baring their teeth!)...she was very wary at first until we told her they wanted to play Pat-a-Cake with her and were smiling at her!
Trinity was a trooper in the rain! We would have stayed despite the rain, but Eli refused to stay under my jacket and his little hands were quite cold. We'll hit the zoo again another day...maybe when rain isn't in the forcast!
